What is a brush belt for?
A brush belt keeps your tools on your body and in reach while you work, so you're not turning back to a table between every step. Bodyography's is faux leather, with slots sized for quick access on set or behind a station. Brushes are sold separately.
Is the brush belt vegan?
Yes — it's a faux-leather belt, vegan across our range and cruelty-free like everything else we make. It wipes down between jobs rather than absorbing product, which is exactly what you want from something worn against your body all day alongside a working kit. No conditioning, no special care.
How do I keep a brush belt clean?
Empty it completely after every job, wipe the slots out, and let it air before you roll it away — product transfers off brush handles into a belt more than people expect. Anti-Bacterial Sanitizing Spray on the exterior between clients keeps it hygienic through a long day.
Should I choose the brush belt or the brush roll?
Choose the belt if you work standing and need brushes on your hip through a long day of faces. Choose the 16-slot Empty Brush Roll if you mostly transport brushes and work from a station. Plenty of artists carry both — the roll travels, the belt works.
Is Bodyography cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes — Bodyography is 100% cruelty-free and has been for over 27 years. The majority of our products are also vegan; a few contain beeswax or other animal-derived ingredients (all cruelty-free). Check individual product pages for confirmed vegan status. Cruelty-free is a non-negotiable across the brand. Certified by PETA and LEAPING BUNNY.
Where is Bodyography made, and are ingredients ethically sourced?
Bodyography is a family-owned professional cosmetics brand, headquartered in California and manufactured primarily in the United States, along with partners in S. Korea, France, Spain, Taiwan, China and Italy. We source ingredients responsibly and formulate to our own clean-beauty standards rather than to a universal checklist. What we include is just as intentional as what we leave out.
What's Bodyography's return policy on opened makeup?
We offer returns on unused products within 30 days of purchase. Because of hygiene standards, we generally cannot accept returns on opened cosmetics unless the product is defective. If your product arrived damaged or you have a formulation concern, please reach out to our customer service team — we take every message seriously and want to make it right.
How can I get a free professional shade match?
We offer free shade matching for foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, and more. Email us with a clear, natural-light photo of your face and neck (no makeup, no filter), and one of our team members — many of whom are working makeup artists — will match you personally. It's one of the most-used services we offer.
