What first inspired you to pursue a career in beauty, and how did you get started in the industry?
I did a lot of musicals and plays growing up where makeup was always very involved and then I ended up going to college for Opera/ vocal performance and everyone would always tell me how great my makeup was! Once people started offering to pay me to do their makeup I realized I could really do this as a career! Soon after, Wet ‘N Wild found my videos on Facebook and flew me out to Los Angeles to shoot a commercial. Pretty soon after, I dropped out of college and moved to LA!
What does beauty mean to you on a personal level?
For me, beauty is about feeling like my outside is aligned with who I truly am on the inside. It’s a form of self expression that evolves with me everyday. I use hair and makeup to tell a story, and I feel most seen by others when I take the time to do it on myself even if it’s just a few rhinestones or glitter.
What inspires your creativity when it comes to makeup and content creation?
I love being inspired by new product launches, new outfit purchases, as well as seasons and my mood (: When it comes to content, I try to focus on sharing not only things that mean a lot to me, but that other people would benefit from as well.
Do you have go-to Bodyography products you can’t live without, and why?
Glitter pigments all day baby!! One of the coolest products ever, you need every shade!!😻😘
What’s the best beauty tip or lesson you’ve learned from your mom, grandma, or another important woman in your life?
Lesson from my Grandma, never leave the house without a little rouge on the lip and cheeks. Also the fact that I never wanna say blush ever again, ROUGE ALL DAY, so iconic.
What’s your biggest beauty blunder — and what did you learn from it?
I can’t think of one specific one because honestly I make adjustments to my routine all the time! Every day I learn something new and change techniques and tools as I constantly test new products and formulas as well as the changing of seasons and temperatures. I’m actually pretty obsessed with this process. I loooove to learn and grow and am improving every day!
What’s one trend you’ve never tried but would love to experiment with?
hmmmm maybe the bleached brows look? I tried actually bleaching my brows one time and I will NEVER do that again because they just turned super yellow and wouldn’t tone haha. I looked crazy lol. So I’d love to really nail the look with makeup one day.
Who is your ultimate beauty muse, and why do they inspire you?
My grandmother, Athena. She will forever be my goddess, my muse and my inspiration to never stop taking care of myself. I had the life changing privilege of being her full time caregiver for the last year of her life. And the hair, makeup, nails, and fashion were on point until the very end! It was very cool to see where my “Queen-ness” came from. Se Agapo Yia-Yia 🤟🏽🫶🏽
