Our Sparkle
Using a synthetic liner brush to apply, Espresso Noir can create the following looks:
- Apply close to the lash line for a natural look & to make your lashes appear thicker
- Create a smoldering cat eye or kitten flick with a small Angled Liner Brush
- Use as a base all over the lid for a dark, smokey eye
- Set liner with matching shadow for all-day wear
Pro Tip
Apply the brown side of Espresso Noir over Canvas Eye Mousse and all over the lid from crease to lash line. Set with dark brown shadow and blend outwards for a smokey look, or apply gold shadow on top of brown.

How do I apply liquid liner without smudging?
Start with a clean, dry lid — no oils or excess primer. Rest your elbow on a flat surface for stability, and use the fine tip of On Point Liquid Liner Pen to draw small, connected dashes rather than one long stroke. Let the liner fully dry (about 20 seconds) before you blink or apply mascara.
Is Bodyography eyeliner waterproof and smudge-proof?
On Point Liquid Liner Pen and Gel Eye Liner Duo are both long-wearing and smudge-resistant once fully set. Eye Pencil is designed to be soft and blendable for smoky-eye looks. For a fully waterproof, hold-through-anything finish, layer On Point Liquid Liner Pen over your line for maximum staying power.
Is it safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers?
Yes, all Bodyography eyeliners are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Our formulas are ophthalmologist-tested and cruelty-free. If you're highly sensitive, we recommend the Eye Pencil for the waterline and On Point Liquid Liner Pen for the lash line to minimize potential irritation.
How long does the liner last on the waterline vs. lash line?
Eye Pencil on the waterline lasts three to six hours depending on skin type and eye moisture — the waterline is a naturally wet area and no liner is truly permanent there. On the lash line, both Eye Pencil and On Point Liquid Liner Pen last all day. For maximum waterline wear, set your liner with a matching Glitter Pigment shade.
How do I create a winged / cat eye with the felt-tip applicator?
Start by drawing a diagonal line from the outer corner of your eye toward the tail of your brow — this is the top edge of your wing. Then draw a second line from the middle of your upper lash line back to meet the tip of that first line. Fill in the triangle and connect it to your lash line. Sharpen the tip with a small angled brush.
Is Bodyography cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes — Bodyography is 100% cruelty-free and has been for over 27 years. The majority of our products are also vegan; a few contain beeswax or other animal-derived ingredients (all cruelty-free). Check individual product pages for confirmed vegan status. Cruelty-free is a non-negotiable across the brand. Certified by PETA and LEAPING BUNNY.
Where is Bodyography made, and are ingredients ethically sourced?
Bodyography is a family-owned professional cosmetics brand, headquartered in California and manufactured primarily in the United States, along with partners in S. Korea, France, Spain, Taiwan, China and Italy. We source ingredients responsibly and formulate to our own clean-beauty standards rather than to a universal checklist. What we include is just as intentional as what we leave out.
What's Bodyography's return policy on opened makeup?
We offer returns on unused products within 30 days of purchase. Because of hygiene standards, we generally cannot accept returns on opened cosmetics unless the product is defective. If your product arrived damaged or you have a formulation concern, please reach out to our customer service team — we take every message seriously and want to make it right.
How can I get a free professional shade match?
We offer free shade matching for foundation, concealer, tinted moisturizer, and more. Email us with a clear, natural-light photo of your face and neck (no makeup, no filter), and one of our team members — many of whom are working makeup artists — will match you personally. It's one of the most-used services we offer.
